Representative Sample (5) of Global Health and Economic Initiatives

Negotiated and implemented bi-lateral initiatives including:

  • North Korea – Coordinated a major humanitarian wheat flour purchase out of Dandong, China with negotiations through Ambassador of the DPRK Permanent Mission to the UN and the foreign ministry, Pyongyang.
  • Tibet – In coordination with the Health Bureau of Zedang, Shannan Prefecture supported a critically needed village doctor health program supplying materials and training to “bare foot doctors” serving remote populations.
  • South Africa – In cooperation with the F.W. de Klerk Foundation have established Operation Medical Hope, bringing primary health care to shanty communities of the Southern Peninsula section of Cape Town.
  • Romania – Developed a national training program in physical therapy in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and the city of Cluj, which resulted in the formation of a national Kineto-therapists Association.
  • Viet Nam – Launched a prosthetics production program in cooperation with the government of Quang Nam Da Nang and the U.S. Veterans Administration. This followed negotiations with MoLISA Hanoi (Ministry of Labour-Invalids-Social Affairs).
